PARTTIME.HK - REDESIGN THE HOME PAGE
ABOUT PARTTIME.HK
PARTTIME.HK is an online job seeking platform where the users can search for job from full-time to summer intern. The site mainly targets to people who are looking for jobs with lower professional requirement, such as retail sales, catering and customer service.
THE PROJECT
This is not an official project. It's a student project in which my team have to study the existing UI and from there to redesign the home page in order to be more user-friendly and appealing.
PREVIOUS WEBSITE
The previous design is simple and direct. Users can look for a job by directly inputting keyword in the search bar or by clicking the keywords link at the bottom part of the page. The searching method is direct but lack of aesthetics. Also, It could be too overwhelming to user if there are many options and the options are not well classified and designed.
THE DESIGN
After our planning, we basically transform the keyword link into different sections, and also we cut the redundant keyword link. We put the recruitment event and recruitment tips as a section in the middle, so the users can access and browse the ongoing recruitment event on homepage which is hidden in the menu bar. Also, we added a dynamic jobs count in the middle as a focal point. Lastly, we suggest a new design system with new colour scheme and component style to add the feeling of friendliness into the page.
MY ROLE
My contribution in this project is to study the whole page with my teammates and re-plan each sections on the homepage. I decided the colour theme. I designed the dynamic jobs counting bar and the section of recruitment tips and resources. Also, I designed the info card of the suggested job at the bottom and also I replace the employer names with their logos.
