Visually striking and incredibly easy to carry, red, white and blue nylon bags have been a familiar sight on HK’s streets and border crossings with Mainland China since the 1950s. The bags’ resilience and adaptability have long been believed to symbolize the qualities of HK itself. To further enhance its brand image in the minds of local consumers, BIC set out to craft a series of DLs that capitalized on Hongkongers’ vast shared affection for this truly one-off icon.

Duplicating the striped design that distinguishes the legendary red, white and blue bags required incredibly precise printing techniques. Rich with a uniquely HK character, the end result was a series of six DLs that shone brightly in the crowded lighter sections of retail outlets Territory-wide.
